Quotes

I have a lot of time to think here. Also, the people I meet and talk to are walking encyclopedias with keen insights and a wealth of experiential learning experiences. I am very blessed. I looked over my quotes that I've written down or have spoken to people and I thought I'd share them with you. I welcome your comments.

"Nothing is more exciting than that sudden flash of insight or the experience of a profound event that leaves you changed for the better."

"When things are tough and look bleak, examine the service you are giving and your attitude in giving it."

"No progress is made by being against something; success comes from being for something and expending your best in acquiring it."

"Happiness comes in love more than in being loved. To love completely and be hurt, but then to love again, produces a happy life."

"Positive thinking does not require hiding from the negative, but to not be in its employ---to not dwell on it. Being positive is a way of thinking and living when you seek the best results, even from bad conditions."

"Set out to do great things and if you fall short, adjust your policies, not your principles."

"Your heart will always tell you what you need to do."

God Bless you all.

Welcome to the Wade Cook Blog

Thank you for joining us. We hope to serve, uplift, edify and enlighten our community, and we're glad you're here. Below you will read the various topics, our very own Table of Contents. Yes, there is a potpourri section for all the miscellaneous things that come up in life.
First though, we'd like to go over some ground rules. When establishing a blog there are several ways to handle comments. One way is to allow posts of all kinds with no filters. Anything derogatory, degrading, lewd or perverse can be eliminated, but after the fact. In many ways this is a bit uncomfortable, and yet it is the fastest way to get new comments posted. The second way: No comments are allowed. It's a one way street. That surely is not our intent here. We welcome questions and comments. We want a lively debate. The third way is to filter (read, delay) guest's comments and the blog-meister will post appropriate comments as quickly as possible.
We've chosen the first scenario, but realize we may have to move to the third option. If the rules and requests we will outline now are followed, we can stay at Def-Con One and make our mutual experience beneficial.
REQUESTS OF THIS SITE:
1) Everyone should use rules of honesty, decorum and civility. Therefore no swear words. No lewd images. No "pornographic" content or comments.
2) There should be no name calling, personal or libelous statements.
3) All internet rules, regulations and laws will be strictly adhered. We will never discuss anything illegal or immoral.
Note to all of our readers, bloggers and sponsors: Wade Cook, a New York Times Business Best-Selling author, is currently on a "Government Sponsored Sabbatical." Everyone knows that. However, his insights are even now sharper than ever.
He has time to study, reflect and to write. He has been humbled and humiliated. If you want to judge him, then that is your choice. Wade shared a few things with us and lessons he's learned. He has met many great individuals behind the walls.
He has also met many criminally minded individuals---who will never turn from their life of crime. Others made a mistake and are paying a price. He really understands the admonition: "Thou shalt not judge one another." In fact, another lesson he learned and has become very important is this: When someone says something about someone, he is saying more about himself than the one being attacked.
